TCP/IP OR UDP/IP(ETHERNET)
Select Options from the Setup menu and click on the Remotes tab. The dialog shown below will be
displayed. Click the Enable TCP/IP check box and enter the port that you would like to use for the
connection. SignalTrack provides a server connection allowing the other SignalTrack application
supplying (see "Providing Data to Another Site Running SignalTrack" on page 62) the data to
initiate the connection.
In cases where network latency is sporadic UDP can deliver data in a more timely fashion than UDP.
Typically this is the case when using cellular modems for remotely monitoring mobile sites. If you
are using a cellular modem select Enable UDP/IP.
SignalTrack has the ability to monitor and record audio sent from remote sites where each remote
site has a device such as a Barix Instreamer to digitize and send the audio. If you want to monitor
the audio check Enable Audio Monitoring and type in the IP port that the remote sites will be
streaming the audio to.
